4 days late and spotting

Ok, so I have posted quite a few of these the last couple days but it's just because I need some answers and I just found the site yesterday lol.  Any ways, I have been on metformin for 7 months and have been getting my period every 28 days regularly.  Seems to be working very well... however this month I am 4 days late and I have been just spotting a little for the last 2 weeks.  My husband was away for work last month during the time I was ovulating so I wouldn't have gotten pregnant last month.  Is it possible that I got pregnant the month before and just had one last period.  The thing about it is, I took a PT and I got 1 neg and 1 pos??? My mom said just to wait a little while longer and see if I start.  Any comments?  I hate it when you get your hopes up and then get shot down with that big fat negitive so is this wierd to anyone else or does that seem normal? I know other things can delay your period I just keep thinking to myself when the heck is it going to come?  I don't even have cramps like I am going to start and I usually do.  I am just having some light spotting, PLEASE HELP. I want to know I'm not being just crazy.

Have your doctor order a blood test for pregnancy. If your pregnant, blood tests are more right then a urine test. Good luck!

well I have a checkup on the 17th.. (next friday) my mind is just going crazy till then lol I am having an ultrasound to check the status of my cysts so Im sure I would find out for sure at that point. It's just the wait.. ya know.
Plus I read on the instructions that ovarian cysts can assist in a false positive so that could be the case too.  I don't feel any different just can't figure out what happened to my period this month.
