Going to the doctor next week to start trying to get pregnet

So i'm going to the doctor next neek to start to get pregnant for the first time since i found out i have PCOS. I was wondering if and one has tried anything that was worked FAST!!

Everybody is different. Some take CLomid and it works on the first try, and others have no luck with it. It depends how well your body responds to the meds you are going to take.

WHAT IS UP WITH THAT MY DOC NEVER OFFERED THAT TO ME BUT I ALSO HAVE FIBROIDS

Some doctors don't offer meds right away. It really depends on how long you have been TTC. If you feel you might be able to benefit from taking clomid or any other type of fertililty medication, then I suggest you talk about it with your doctor.

THANKS I EMAIL AND ASKED Y WASN'T I OFFERED ANYTHING SO I AM WAITING ON A RESPONCE... AND WE BEEN TRYING REALLY 2 YEARS NOW AND A YEAR AT THE TIME I FOUND OUT I HAD PCOS SO WE WILL SEE...

That's strange it took my Dr. 2 months to start me on clomid and metformin.I also have PCOS.
Hasn't worked yet though

All of us on this forum want it to happen right away but it doesnt always happen that way.I hope you are on off the fortunate ones but if not that's what you med help sister's are here for

I went through 3 tries with the IUI.  I wanted to have my cylce with clomid to be monitored with blood work to check my levels, so we went that route right off the bat. i was told an OB won't do bloodwork to monitor your levels but a fertility doctor would.  I was also forunate enough to have our last insurance cover the procedures. This time  it will be all out of pocket for us if we end up going this route again.

I was on clomid, bravelle, trigger shot and then the iui procedure. This time around, we will see what is recommended.  

It was my understanding that one shouldn't be on clomid for more than 3 cycles, that you should move onto another med but I may be mistaken.

The author is not soo keen on white coat medicine but I took her with a grain a salt since I found her information to be very useful and insightful.  I feel every woman should read this book.  It is like having an owner's manual for your reproductive system.

with pcos it takes time. that has been the biggest lesson i have learned through all of this and trust me patiantce is not a virtue that is easy for me to come by but i cling to the knowledge that it will be that much more special wanted and deserved when it does happen. i was watching tlc a baby story the other day and a woman with pcos was saying that when she finally found out she was pregnant she knew what it was like to win the lottery  of course that made me bawl like a baby but i know that is exactly how i will feel when it happens to me.
