I have PCOS and I've had my period for 3 weeks, anyone else experience this?

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 16 year old. I am currently 24. From 13(first cycle) I had severe cramps and heavy bleeding. This last October I had a large cyst on my RT ovary and Fallopian tube. they removed the cyst and the next cycle (November) was light and absolutely no cramps. If it hadn't been for the Birth control I wouldn't have known when I was going to start. at the beginning of February I started my period stopped for about 3 days and it started up again. It hasn't stopped at all since then. I've checked my birth control and it's not expired. I even switched to a new pack just to make sure that I didn't get a bad batch. Still bleeding. I've gotten cramps back and they are worse then I ever remember.

I’ve had this problem for years. I don’t skip periods. Mine never end. I’ve gone 3 months without a break in bleeding. It’s normal for me but since this is a new symptom, especially after surgery, I’d give your doctor a call and let them know what’s going on. Losing too much blood is a real issue and I’ve been on the verge of needing transfusions multiple times.
