Thank you ALL so much for the feed back. I thank God 4 ths website....we all share a special story to help out the next person :)

StephRox13 - I have tried 3 rounds of clomid..it did not work for me at all. I had 1 iui w/femera my body responded an I actually ovualated but did not get preggers. It was still exciting to know my body excepted the femera....I had that done by an RE.

I lost my job...so that means no insurance and I could not afford to got any further. I discussed the option of my obgyn....placing me on the femera and having timed intercourse...but I am waiting 4 her to move forward and that is VERY upsetting!!!!

I had OD done Oct 12, 2010.
I too have PCOS and been trying for 12 years with no luck. I did the OD and my RE found the cause of me not getting that BFP. Anywho I went in and came home the same day, Yes I could not pee right after after they put a catheter in I could go on my own. I didnt have to take it home they put it to empty out my bladder. after I was fine. I didnt have much pain just discomfort, after  two days I was walking around with no problem. I have no sucess story yet but it was the best thing for me since he found the cause of what was causing me along with PCOS not to get my BFP. I am still waiting for AF it take sometimes upto three months to kick start your hormones. but I will be taking provera and then femara. I wish you luck and not everyone has the same effects after OD. I heard women on here get that BFP the first month after OD.

Best of luck with your OD and SSBD your way.

I considered getting ovarian drilling. My dr told me it was that or IVF. After doing all the research on ovarian drilling I just couldnt go through with it. It just seemed scary. But I also dont like surgerys at all and try to avoid them. My insurance was going to cover the drilling. BUt we choose to go with IVF cuz it has higher chances and I want to have a baby already. I have been trying for over a year now. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Hi I'm 26 I had ovarian drilling in december of 2009 we had been trying for three years at that point.  They did the surgery under general anesthesia so I was asleep and intubated for the surgery.  But it was laproscopic and I got to go home that day.  I have two tiny scars on either side of my belly button and one inside my belly button.  I won't lie to you it was pretty painful I had a reaction to the anesthesia and I couldn't pee after the surgery so I had a catheter at home for the first two days :(, but I didn't have to get up to pee :).  I alternated vicoden and 800mg ibuprofen every two hours for the first three days then I was able to space it out.  Movement that involved my abdomen (so everything) was painful for almost a month after but manageable I just had to slow down.  then six weeks later I had my first ever non medicated period!!!  My body still refused to ovulate so we did follistim injections and IUI 6 months later our fifth attempt worked :) :).  I'm now 20 weeks with a little girl.  I know what i described sounds horrible but I would do it again in a heartbeat.  I am 100% positive we wouldn't be expecting our little blessing without the surgery.  For every kick I can tell you it's worth it :).  good luck hun.
