Constant Pain

Hi Everyone,

I was diagnosed with PCOS almost 2 months ago.  I have been getting a very dull sometimes sharp pain in far right side of my abdomen.  The pain is not palpable.  Well let me back up a bit.  I was diagnosed by my endocrinologist after blood tests. However, my testosterone level was well within range which is in sharp contrast to what she said. She based my diagnosis on my testosterone level and without films.  I visited my OB-Gyn who order a pelvic ultrasound.  I had this done last Tues.  I have not heard anything yet and I am not scheduled to see him for another week.  I figure no news is good news.  The pain has not stopped and I have noticed that it increases after I eat bread or wheat and anything with milk.  Seriously, it leaves me bedridden and running to the bathroom.  I have made  an appt to see the Gastroenterologist.

Although PCOS can manifests itself differently in each individual, has anyone had constant pain in either side of the abdomen that was definitely attributed to PCOS?  I am starting to believe that I may have a serious digestive problem

I've been going though the same thing as you and the pain is always there for me no matter what it can be lighter but when its the wrost i end up in the hospital cause when i was 17 they found a cyst on myleft tube the size of a canolope that had to be removed sso i worry that i may have a cyst and at that time with the cyst it messed up my hormones badly so you may have a cyst and if the pain keeps on you need to ask your dr or MRI to make sure there is nothing there also you may need to be on Metfromin that helps sometimes. I hope this helps if you need to know anything else send me a message/.

Hi,

I was diagnosed with pcos about a year ago.  I had blood levels and a vaginal ultrasound done. I had a cyst on my left side that had been bothering me for awhile, especially  after intercourse. They prescribed metformin to help with the insulin resistance problem.  That's really the only experience I've had with persistent pain on one side or the other.
