PCOS and finally pregnant

So I have been trying to get pregnant since my last miscarriage 04/07, then I stopped having AF for awhile after that, 09/08 they told me I have PCOS and put me on metformin, I weighted 377 than, now I just found out I'm pregnant and weigh 323 and still on metformin but all my blood work is looking great, Just wanted to give others with PCOS some hope.

My friend also has PCOS and did the same thing as I did and she now has twin 3 month olds.

Congrats! I was in the same shoes as you not too far back. I was at about 160 and I am 5'8" and I had to lose about 20 pounds to get pregnant. My PCOS was too severe even for fertility treatments but weight lose was the only thing that seemed to help me =) Congrats on the pregnancy! Happy and Healthy 9 months for you!

I have been dx with PCOS when I was 16. Now I am 24. My docs never put me on Metfor after i had my gastric bypass surgery where I lost aout 225 pounds. So not really sure want it happening this month, but ill be testing this Thursday. Hopefully it will come back as positive!! But I am happy for you! congrats to you!

congratulations! i am pregnant with child 2 and have had PCOS, endometriosis and a bicornate uterus and cervix (2 of each). I was told by 3 ob/gyn and 2 family doctors it would be next to impossible to get pregnant without help. Just before child #2 I was taking metformin, it's a treatment that helps my PCOS, and what a family doctor recomended trying since nothing was covered for birth control, or any other medication under my insurance in the states. It was a preexsisting condition. Birth control never worked for me anyways. He said PCOS can help lead to diabetes too in the long run, and metformin would help me avoid it hopefully. Because metformin is primarly a diabetic medication that's why it was covered, and cheap in Ohio. However, both times i got pregnant wasn't trying to conceive. It is possible to conceive with a bunch of problems!

I was told that I really was not ovulating, over the last yr I had 5 cd 21 test and they were always less than 10 for progesterone. Now I'm pregnant and so far everything looks good.

The dr is kinda shocked that it happened since she told me I was not ovulating.

I'm very early only 4w5d or less but my hormones look good for this early.

Congratulation. That is good news and hope for all of us with PCOS. Wishing you all the best for you and your baby. You didn't do any treatment except the metformin, so everything was natural? Did you ovulate regularly?
Congratulaiton again and happy nine months.
