PCOS and pain

Do you have lower abdominal/pelvic pain?
When an ultrasound was done while you were in pain, was there any cysts? Were your ovaries enlarged?
When an ultrasound was done when you were NOT in pain, was there any cysts? Were your ovaries enlarged?

I had a Sonogram done on my Uterus and also afterwards i had a Transvaginal ultrasound done. I am 55 and have pretty much gone through the hardest part of menopause. No more SWEATS thank you god..I have had cyst before in my uterus 3 to be exact. they didn't touch them they wanted to see if they would disappear on their own rather than aggravate them. They did go away but then another appeared on my left ovary. They did nothing and said they would just watch it. In my last CTscan, checking my Gall Bladder, it appeared the cyst was till there..They did nothing. Now with a very thin Uterus wall that causes pain during intercourse, enough to not have intercourse, i went to my OBGYN, again. Another Sonogram, and right after, a Transvaginal Ultrasound, she said my Uterus looked clean, but,,,,NO OVARIES showing up. Let me begin,,I had a Colonoscopy done where they had to cut my stomach open. Now, the day before my Surgeon sent me to the OBGYN for the hospital. He claimed my Uterus was PERFECT and everything intact. I did argue, no way, i had pain in my left ovary. Well, the horror..The next day was my surgery and when my surgeon cut me open, to his surprise my left ovary was up in my left side of my chest and had pushed all my intestines up there also. So not only did he have to cut my colon but first had to put my Ovary back in place and gently pull all my intestines back down. I have Diverticulitis. Reason for having the surgery was, my Colon had ruptured and a small hole was leaking air, as they call this free air. The pain this sent me into actually was so painful i blacked out for a few. So in this process, i had the first surgery for that by Endoscope, which i was lucky for the surgeon who agreed and i could show him exactly where he pain was at. The other Doctors did not agree with him but i had refused the Dilaudid so that i could be awake enough to talk to him and explain what went on that whole day. This was a nightmare, considering i had been going along as if nothing was wrong with me and even rode my horse the day before. My only symptom i saw was a month before i looked at myself in the mirror and was shocked to see that i looked about 8 months Pregnant. This was impossible since i had my tubes cut and burnt years before. I did have some heartburn in which i had never had before. The first surgery with the Free Air is very dangerous and if i had not have gotten to the hospital when i did, its possible i would not be here today. I spent 8 days in the hospital. The second surgery was to cut my damaged colon. After all the findings he found once he cut my stomach open, i still only stayed 5 days in the hospital..The first Surgery i had a PIC line going to my Heart, an IV in my left arm and an IV in my right arm. Please understand the horror to me, Never had i been sick, the only time i had been in a hospital was to have my two kids, 17 years apart..lol .. So now after full menopause, and now feeling pretty much normal, my Uterus just will not get back to normal size  it is still thin..Even after all the Hormones they have tried. Now after complaining again about the non stop pain of trying to have intercourse which is impossible, i had these test run again for the 3rd or 4th time over the past few years. this time both test show NO Ovaries. Can anyone shed any light to this..????

Well it's in the ovary area, so I assume it's the ovaries. But I don't get pain through out the month like I use to. This month now, is the only month my period is missing and I'm really bloated now with slight cramps here and there. Not all women who have pcos have it the same way. Some have just the hormonal issues and some have just cysts and others have the combination of cysts and hormonal issues. I for one do not have any cysts (none that I know of, although I might have one now...which made my period not come on) but my hormones are abnormal, higher then what they should be.

Do you know where your pain is coming from? or what is causing it?

Yes sometimes it is normal to have pain throughout the month due to having pcos. I've never had a cyst so I do not know the other answers. I've had ultrasounds done in pain and not in pain, and both showed clear and normal ovaries.
