does clomid produce a baby when you have PCOS

I have been diagonsed with PCOS for about a year.  I haven't been through much treatment, yet, but am thinking about trying out clomid.  I really want to convieve before I reach 30.  The whole situation is so depressing. Has anyone been in this same situation and can give me some insight.  Is it worth going on clomid if you have PCOS  or is it hopeless.

If you haven't already, I would start with Metformin. I got pregnant after three months of being on metformin, I was trying for 10 months. If that doesn't work, you can move on to clomid.

There is hope... I have PCOS and was put on Metformin & clomid. But also with my PCOS my prolactin level was too high, so they put me on Dostinex to lower it until we conceived, then they took me off. But the clomid did work for me. I never had cycles on my own, nor did I ovulate until the the RE figured out what was wrong. I had a cyct removed from my uterus in August, got prego the next month, so I am 9 weeks now with my first & just praying all goes well. So don't give up hope - have faith ! I will happen ! Best wishes to all of you & tons of sprinkles of baby dust for you !
