pcos? or something different causing my bleeding

I'm bleeding only after sex and when someone puts a slight pressure on my lower abdominal area. I'm extremely nausated that my chest hurts. The hospital when I went had no answers to why I'm feeling like this. I'm so tired, I can hardly stay up more than an hour, i'm urinating abou 4-5 times an hour. Anybody else have problems like this or have any clue what was going on? I wasn't sure if it could be the twisting of overies or even a cyst that can do that. i did have my only depo shot in early december.

Going to the ER will not help. You need to see GYN. Most ER docs, do not know much about female problems. Bleeding only during sex can be a number of things. Here are a few ideas of why you could be bleeding and the reason you should see your GYN:

1. cervical erosion (involves an inflamed area on the neck of the uterus. It's often found in young girls, women taking birth control pills and pregnant women, whose cervices are softer than normal)

2. Atrophic vaginitis (Some menopausal women bleed after sex because diminishing estrogen levels cause thinning of the vaginal walls, which can become irritated from intercourse. This is called atrophic vaginitis, a condition that can be alleviated by using lubricating gels during sex. It can also be treated with estrogen, either locally delivered to the vagina or taken systemically)

3. Sexually transmitted diseases(STDs)

4. Trichomoniasis (another type of vaginal infection. Trichomoniasis is caused by a single-celled parasite that is usually spread through sex. In addition to causing bleeding after sex, it can also cause vaginal discharge and itching)

5. Endometriosis

6. Uterine polyps

I do suggest to see a GYN for further advice. You bleeding may be able to be controled if you get treatment fast. Also the Depo shot is a bad choice of birth control. The symptoms and side affects, irregular bleeding can last in your system for up to a year...even after just one shot.
