We (pcos sufferers) have been dealt a really hard blow when it comes to PCOS and wanting a family!!!  I have suffered PCOS (medically treated and diagnosed) now for 4years.  I conceived my first baby 3 years after starting treatment and mc at just over 10wks.  4cycles later I conceived my now beautiful daughter Isobella....but it was never easy and neither was the whole pregnancy.  I think the advice I would give anyone suffering PCOS and wanting a family is to be consistant in EVERYTHING you do!  Become very intune with your body, doctor and hubby.  Know exactly what is going on with your meds and ALWAYS ask questions!!!  I found that I read so much that my own GYN/OB was happy to let me lead the way as I was living in my body and knew what I was feeling.  Clomid never worked for me...I do not ovulate.  So I did rounds and rounds of puregon....each month slowly uping the dosage until one day (after reading other peoples stories and info online) I just said NO I dont want to begin on that dosage again, please consider putting me on this...
I have a very cooperative GYN and he is very much on the ball.  However regardless of the test to prevent I still overstimualted very badly falling pregnant with Bella and it was life threatening, then the pregnancy went from over stim to high blood pressure to Gestational Diabeties back to high blood pressure and swelling...never a dull moment in 9months let me tell you! lol
Hang in there, I am trying for #2 and right back at the beginning again and it is just so frusterating.....
The very best of luck to you and I truly hope you are blessed one day as I have been!

I've gotten pregnant twice with PCOS.  I've unfortunately miscarried both times, but we recently had many tests ran and discovered I also have a blood clotting disorder that can be treated with mediciation.  So hopefully my next time I'll care the pregnancy to term!!  Keep the faith!!  There's so many ways to fix or improve what PCOS causes!

please dont worry about getting pregnant. I know sooooooo many people (with PCOS) who have healthy children . i know how worrying it can be, i wasnt diagnosed with PCOS when i had my son, i was diagnosed a year after he was born. im now trying to concieve and it worries me too. the only thing thats calming me down is the fact that i know people with PCOS who have kids.

my Dr advised me to take glucophage and stop sweets. she also asked me to reduce the amount of chicken i eat. apparently chicken are injected with hormones which arent good for women.
