Baby Dust 4...POUF!

Hi Everyone!  I'm so excited to start the 4th long post.  :)

Tonight I am having some light cramps on my right abdomen.  I bought a test (hopefully it will work) to take on the morning of Father's Day, the 15th!  :)

I am curious, I know I've read/heard a lot of ladies say, but all of you out there who are mommies or soon to be:  How did you tell your significant other about the pregnancy and upcoming parenthood and what was their reaction?

Thank you!
~Your Katebud~

Umm I think there is a risk of say 30% or something it could be higher, but at least one of our kids may get it!!
I could not have crohns I would go crazy, not being able to eat fruits, and veggies!! Man its hard cooking for someone who has a disease that affects what they can and cannot eat! His dad is allergic to flour so I am glad he does not have that problem.
My kids, well one boy he always does really good when he is sick, he does not get fevers and if he does he still tries to be happy as a clown, and he has had 3-4 ear infections since he was born and all times you would not have known, but my other one the world ends for him when he gets sick, he is the biggest baby really LOL, everytime he coughs he cries, he sneezes and boogers come out he cries, then the other one rubs the boogers all over his face and then I have to constantly wipe his face off becuase I don't want dirty kids and he hates getting his face wiped.
Me, well no I just got worse today, but I did manage to clean my carpets with my carpet cleaner, but that is as far as my house work went oh and laundry LOL.
Yeah August isn't that far a way, but it seems like its taking forever and I can't believe that I'M 17 weeks I mean 10-11 weeks ago I was worried about miscarrying due to spotting at 6-7 weeks, and now i'm at 17. Well, with my boys at 19 weeks I found out it was twins, but before I knew the gender and how many I always thought it was a boy, mind you I think its because I always wanted a boy first, but who knows....
This time around I just think its a boy, but its driving me crazy really LOL.

Krissy ~  I can understand your reasons for not wanting a homebirth for sure!......I dont know why I have no fear in all of this , I actually would prefer the idea of a homebirth if I was allowed & had the proper space & bathtub to do it......I guess I just dont think of what can go wrong lol.....As far as midwifes go , I know our medical covers them should you choose one , but in america I would assume you pay a percentage or something.....You could even just look it up in your phonebook , and you can call around & find one your comfortable with I know that , You get like a 1 hour consultation before you have to choose.....I know here anyways cause my girlfriend choose a midwife and shes GREAT!.....her appt's are always an hour long and you can ask any & all questions.......I wish I could go with a midwife , its such a more personal experience!.......Katebud was right though , you could always use the shower if theres one in your room , the water pressure can help to relieve contractions and alot of them have like a ledge you can sit on or your hubby can climb in too and help by massaging or helping you to get into a comfortable position while you use the showerhead for water pressure........Im sure you'll figure it out hun! I know the feeling of having no control though especially in a situation that requires so much of it........It will all fall into place dont worry!......haha yeah who knows I could go before you!

Katebud ~ Im soooo excited you got to see your babys heartbeat! Just wait until you hear it! Its even cuter & more special!........You desereve this so much hun & im so happy for you! :)......I know what you mean about saltine crackers , I could never do it , I HATED the salt for starters & they always made me feel worse because they remind me of what you eat with soup when your sick lol......Arrowroot baby cookies worked for me or animal crackers , they taste sweet like honey so they didnt make me as sick and I liked that they broke down easily......They helped me alot in the first few weeks.....HAHA PB & J I lived off for like a month in the 1st few weeks , on ANYTHING , especially sandwiches & english muffins lol......It was the best , and even now I still love it I just dont eat it as much , alot of carbs lol......Now my favourtie morning thing is a smores granola bar.....I go through a box or two a week , I loooovee them! lol.....You should try preggie pops or drops like Krissy said , they work wonders too!

Jamie ~ Yeah $3000 a shot is pretty pricey! Thank goodness they are covering it!....Hopefully they will help to make him feel better right away!.....I had a friend who Chrons disease and I know what its like......Is there any risk of the boys or this baby getting it? ......Are your kiddo's feeling better yet? How about you & your sore throat?.........August isnt too much longer away , it will go by fast!.......Im excited to know what your having , Usually when all signs point to a boy its a girl though LOL

Katebud , Im fine hun  :) thanks for asking!.....They didnt actually tell me what size hes measuring at , but at my last appt I was right on track measurement wise , and they were never concerned about him oddly enough , everytime im on a monitor he shows off & moves like crazy lol.....and he always hides from the heartbeat monitor , even the doppler , I can feel him slide over so hes like right under my bellybutton LOL ,its hilarious , The nurses always laugh......and so long as my cervix stays closed things are good , but even if he does come early , im not worried , I would prefer to have him stay in until at least 37 weeks or more , but whatever happens , happens , He will be fine!......at least now that they know whats going on its alot easier to monitor , and im a bit of a spazz and dont always know what im supposed to feel , especially at this point , but they are really nice & good about all my questions and stuff......I think the worst part of this hospital visit was not having my Fiance here , hes away at work until Tuesday , and I know it freaked him out not knowing nor being here & I felt even worse cause it was his birthday .....not quite how I wanted him to spend it , but oh well , its all fine so thats great :)

Hi Ladies,

Keeks, are you ok?  What size is baby sitting at right now?  I hope everything goes in your and baby's favor.

Krissyy, do they have a shower you can use in your room at the hospital?  I know its definetly not the same, but the water from a shower can be soothing also, especially if there is a chair to sit on or a ledge.

Update:  I had another ultrasound appointment today.  I am so amazed at how much my baby has grown in only 9 days!!!!!!!   At the last appointment we could only see the yolk sac.  Today, I saw my little beanie and the heart beating!  The heartbeat was 120 bpm, and my baby was 7mm long.  So tiny!  :)  Hubby and I are very happy.  :)  I will put the picture up as soon as I get it scanned.  (not really much to see yet, but it's my baby!).
The ultrasound tech said the baby was measuring at 6 weeks and 4 days (that is a day behind where I'm at now for official gestation dates).  Maybe I need to sleep more so baby can grow faster!  :)  I know for sure I don't need to eat more yet!

I have been eating crackers in the morning, and I've started to associate them with feeling sick, same thing with tums and antacids.  :(  But I've discovered natures' perfect food:  Pb&j.   :D  good for breakfast and lunches on the go!!!!   Haha.  I eat them on wheat bread, so I don't feel as bad about it.  Also, it's a good replacement for cake and donuts, other sweet stuff.  :)

I understand!! I don't feel comfortable doing it at home either, but I don't know if I would want to sit in a bathtub until its time to go in and then go in, but that is me.

keeks- yah my boys heart beats were like that so I am assuming its a boy!! But who knows, I don't know I guess will just have to wait until august!!
Labor I am trying not to think about it, because I was freaked out about it before with my boys through out the whole pregnancy so I don't really want to do it this time LOL.
Yeah the stiches I think I was lucky, I heard some women can rip from hole to hole, as nasty as that sounds, but that creeped me out too!!
Yeah I just want him to get out of feeling in pain all the time and it can get soo bad where he can barely move, but hopefully this stuff will help out now!! I sure hope so its a $3000 shot haha.

Aww you had to go in to the hospital again? how far along are you?
