how many days late?

Ok, I am kind of confused by this.. here is the deal: my period was due on the 16th of this month, it is now the 20th, and it still has not come. Would i be considered 4 days late so far because it is four days after, or would you consider this the 5th day being late because you would count the 16th.

In my mind, since I was due Friday the 16th, it has been friday, saturday, sunday, monday, and now tuesday with no period, thus being 5 days.. is that correct?

I'm very bloated lately, and I tested twice for pregnancy using the dollar store brand, once on the 17th and once yesterday but both were negative, so I'm going to wait it out for a little more.

I know how u feel, cause I usually start mine in the middle of the night to and wake up with massive cramps that last throughout the whole day. I am not late actually just got over it on the 14th, me and fiance fooled around yesterday and it was one of my more fertile days so I am not trying to get pregnant anymore right now but if it happens then let it happen

Yeah, I usually start it in the middle of the night when I am asleep, like i expected to wake up on the 16th and it would be there, but it wasn't.

If you normally start your period right after you wake up, the way I see it, you were 4 days late as of this morning. If nothing happens today, then tomorrow morning you'd be 5 days late.
