My 4 have all come between 36-38 weeks and ranged from 6 lb 9 oz to 8 lb 14 oz.  No health issues with any of them.

Exactly! PregoX3! I'm w you on that. They don't see or even think about the consequences. Mine came out on their own. At 36 & 37 weeks. N in this pregnancy, my midwife wants to induce me.

My daughter was born at 38 wks which at the time was "full term." They have recently changed the terms...38-39wks is early term, 39-40 is full term and 40+ is late term.
When my daughter was born she weighed 7lbs13oz but her lungs weren't ready. They eventually had to suction fluid from her lungs and she was in an oxygen tent for about a week. She has had a number of other relatively minor abnormalities due to her early arrival...heart murmur, gastric reflux, bladder reflux, swallowing issues (chokes on thin liquid and speech is significantly delayed due to her throat muscles).
I see so many women that want their babies to come earlier than 40wks, but I say be patient. There are a good amount of babies that are born healthy after 37wks...but there is a reason that they changed 38-39wks to "early term"

I was 37 weeks and a few days, she decided she was ready @ 7lbs 3oz. If she would've stayed longer she would've been bigger than her brothers. My boys were short and fat and was long and skinny.

My son was a 37 week baby.  He was 6 lbs 7 0z and had no issues. I am pretty sure that 37 weeks is "close enough" to be considered full term.

My second baby was born at 36 weeks n she was 5 pounds. She is perfectly healthy now :) n my other two daughters were born at 37 weeks weighing the same.5pds 5oz & 5pds 7oz. If that's your concern, they are fine once they hit 37 weeks :) at 37 weeks they are considered full term baby.
