14 dpo, took hpt
I couldn't wait - day 14 dpo and we were starting to get giddy/nervous. DH wanted me to take the test so this morning got the camera ready. Battery was low so when he dropped in the pee and the first line didn't show up right away I shut the camera off in disappointment and walked off. A moment later he calls out,"I see a line!" so I head back and we're staring at a faint line wondering if we're seeing things. A few minutes later , its still faint but more noticeable. After we hug each other we both say, "I'm scared." Its only 2 weeks according to our calculations, I'm happy but so nervous - I feel like high fiving but, holding my breath for the next 9 months. Weeeeeeee ! I remember the last time it was faint when I took hpt 17dpo so will wait til this weekend to get that solid line. Someone pinch me ......

I feel better about the twinges and little pains ( thanks liolio ) - its nice to compare notes with others. I had 2 m/c's in 2008 so its hard not to feel anxiety. DH and I are feeling cautious and nervous but, at the same time we look at each other and share a silent "Wheeeee !" We're not telling anyone til its "safe" - waiting for the first trimester and see a heartbeat which reminds me - got to make an appointment soon. Stayed home today but, going for a walk soon. I want to start a light workout but, don't know how careful I should be. I read that keeping physically fit helps you recover faster after labour. So, I'm all for that. Thanks again for your well wishes - much appreciated !

Congrats, girl!!! Join the club of moms to be. Good luck and just relax and take things day by day. You will be fine. Good luck again!!!
those jabs and cramps are the implantation cramping.. for me it felt like weird twinges and litle pains in my uterus. Congrats.. just take it day by day with lots of deep breathing. I did tell my closest friends b/c I just could not keep it to myself and had to talk w/ someone besides d/h about my anxiety (had 3 m/cs in 2008).
Oh Sue, Congratulations! I was just reading some post and came across this. I'm so happy for you. Now relax and enjoy the ride!
Thanks girls - I'm starting to feel excited. Very few people know about my m/c's and I'm not planning to tell anyone about this pregnancy until 3 or 4 months. Its really nice to share this with you - I really feel lucky and hit the jackpot when I stumbled upon MedHelp and met you all. Thanks for all your support - I haven't felt alone in a while.
They start counting from 1st day of LMP. So when they tell you 6 weeks, it is 6 weeks from that time and that's what they will tell you the sac should measure at, even tough that usually means only 4 weeks from conception. Confusing isn't it. I had lots of light aches early on. Pretty much the same as I would get when AF was coming, so I dismissed them as well. Girl, we are all cheering you on here!!!! XOXO

So 4 weeks ? Let me get this straight - like say for eg I were to go in for an u/s in 2 weeks - does that mean the size should measure 6 weeks or is it still 4 weeks ? I do like 2 "free weeks" less of worrying ! The paranoia is starting already - before the hpt I thought the light ache on my lower left ab were pms cramps. Now I'm worried its something else - did you all get light aches too ? Deep breaths deep breaths ---- warning you - you might hear from me alot these next 9 - oh, I mean 8 months ! Thanks for your responses - DH said to me after the hpt - "Are you going to tell your peeps ? lol Of course I did. :D

Whoohoooo!!!! Yay Sue, I am so excited for you. I know your scared hon, but one day at a time...if I can do it so can you girlfriend!! You know I am sending lots of prayers and positive thoughts to you!!
