Age 35+ (not 35+ weeks)!!

Sorry, just had to vent. I'm 39 years old, 6 weeks pregnant, and am disappointed that it isn't clear that this group is for age 35+ and not 35+ weeks...

Wow! I feel a lot of immature people posting and getting hurt over someone's, opinion. I like having age group myself because I see that at my age (39) and being pregnant with what is called my rainbow baby (2 losses before this one) I can relate so much better then to the younger women but at the same time I don't see a problem with the younger crowed getting answered from us older gals. It's a forum That's meant to vent, ask questions, and seek advise No matter the age of the person. Or How many weeks.

Like I said, I totally understand where she's coming from :-) I just thought she should be aware that not all of the younger moms are ignorant to the fact that the forums are separated by age, but sometimes we have questions our peers can't answer - we need someone who has either been through it before or who has a bit of a better understanding of the female body... Someone who's been around the block a few times, so to speak.

I don't think she meant it to be rude. Its just a little discouraging when you go to a forum and it's not what it seems.

By posting this, you convey the message that we aren't wanted here - that hurts. I'm nineteen and I read in each if the forums, I ask my questions in the forums that I believe will garner me the most helpful answers...I know I can't be the only one. I'm sorry that bothers you.

I can understand where you're coming from, but this post may do more harm than you realize. I agree that the "Am I Pregnant" posts are EXTREMELY aggrivating, but there are those if us in the younger age group that have questions the other young moms can't answer. There are also young moms that find it difficult wading through the posts trying to find the ones that are truly helpful. There are still more (like myself) that simply can't put up with the drama and inability to utilize proper grammar and spelling that you find so often in the younger forums. I'm sorry if us younger moms aren't of the proper age to supposed to post in this particular forum, but we aren't all bad. We aren't all 'too stupid' to realize the forums are set up by age and not pregnancy week. We aren't all posting or reading in this forum just to be annoying.

In my personal opinion you are all being very rude !!! as long as i know none of you ladies invented this app, meaning if a younger mom has a question that us older mom could help her with i see no problem with that !!! apperently pregnancy has been going bad for you ladies that your hormones dont let you think !!! Be happy most of you here are not that young , im pretty sure you wont want a grumpy baby !!!

I'm 36 yrs old n 30+5. I get frustrated with the younger girls posting on here about wanting to know if they are prego 3 weeks before they even miss their period. My thought is if they dont know how they can get prego they shouldn't be fooling around. IMO.

I guess I'd assumed this group was for me since I'm 36 and not 35 weeks along.  So far things are going well including my diabetes and weight gain.  Congrats on your pregnancy!

Agreed! Although it's been posted it's really not clear. Honestly I prefer to get advice from people in my age group and situation.

I know how you feel. Its been posted many times that its by age. Pregnant moms over 35 have different issues with pregnancy than other younger moms. Its good for us going through similar compilations to be able to relate to one another. Wish more moms 35 and older would post on here.
