Alexander James was born Sept 2

Just wanted to let you all know my son Alex was born Thursday Sept 2.  We are both doing well. It was a different labor experience for me this time.  I had the same issue as my first son with the epidural not taking (or being put in incorrect) and didnt get any pain relief until I was dialated to 9.5.  My vote? Let me just suffer through....but no...they were determined to give me some sort of medication. *sigh* It was kind of nightmareish when I recount the pain....which I can NOT describe or put on any kind of level to express to another....and the fact that they were determined to stick me with needles at the same time. I just should of stood my ground handled the labor pains and delivered. My pain tolerance is high honestly.  My back wouldnt hurt as much today ....after 4 failed epidural attempts.  None the less I kept my eye on the prize - my beautiful son Alex. Ive got lactation issues AGAIN....milk is still not in and Alex isnt making enough dirty diapers so we had to start formula yesterday to ensure he isnt dehydrated.  Ladies Im exhausted and in awe of my new arrival. Im so so blessed he's here.

Congrats!  I'm sorry you had the issues with the epidural...I had the same problem with my last one....idiot kept hitting the nerve and just added to the pain I was already having.  I hope I get a different anasthesiologist this time.  I, too, have lactation issues.  I usually end up having to supplement in the beginning as well.  Just be persistent but know your limits, don't push yourself too hard.  But i'm sure you already know that.

Can't wait to see pictures of the little guy.  Welcome to the world baby Alex!!!!

Take care of yourself and that precious lil guy!
