Today I welcomed my first baby, Alexander Mark. He was born at 7:14 this morning and weighed 7lb 7oz. I pushed for 5 minutes and he was here!

Yes, I got the epidural. I was in labor a total if 6 hours. The contractions pain on a scale of 1-10 was a 12!! It hurt so so bad. I needed the epidural once I got dilated 5cm because I couldn't stand the pain. The pushing part...on a scale of 1-10 I'd say an 8 (for me). I'd already gotten the epidural and it was working just great, so I barely felt it. Once it wears off, it just feels like pressure down there. Totally worth the pain!
