Am I the only one?

50 and 5 weeks. Experiencing normal symptoms but still concerned about my age.  First pregnancy too with no help. Anyone else 50+ and how are you doing?

That was supposed to be NIPT instead of NOT. Stupid autocorrect.

Congratulations! I'm only 38, but I know what you mean. Just keep in mind that even at 50, when odds of chromosomal problems are much higher, the odds are still strongly in your favor that the baby will be fine. Ask about NOT such as the Harmony test. It's fairly accurate but not perfect at identifying trisomy. I believe the accuracy is close to 99%, and it can be done fairly early (like 10 or 11 weeks). It's just a blood test, so there's no risk of miscarriage as there is with amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling. Just stay positive.  Many women at your age have healthy babies.

44 here and 7 weeks. Couldn't believe those 4 positive tests! ;) Haven't been pregnant for 13 years, had just adopted our 2 youngest 4 years ago, and were just entering foster care training...surprise!

Hi, ftm, 16 weeks with singleton on board, and 50. So far uneventful and enjoying it. I see an ob/gyn and perinatologist every 4 weeks. At ultrasound on Friday the doc said everything's on track and no worries.  Oh and that baby is breech, 1 cm fibroid is now 3 cm, and I have a low lying placenta. I look forward to 20 week anatomy scan and maybe those things will have changed. I feel very blessed and 50 rocks.

Had my first ultrasound on the 3rd. Baby measured 6 weeks. Heartbeat was 74. Have another ultrasound on the 12th for comparison to ensure baby is growing. My vitals are great. Concerned and praying.

First ultrasound and blood work next week. Feel really good. Energetic and no vomiting.  Only a little nauseous when it's time to have a small meal. Breasts are extremely tender and I have minor cramping but who cares?! Excited and enjoying every minute of this.

Just found out I'm 10 weeks and I am 42 second pregnancy I have a 18year old going in to her 2nd year of college. I'm also a ER nurse so I'm constantly moving and busy and thought I was just coming down with a bug...I guess it was the pregnancy bug. I have been so sleepy all the time. I'm nervous but excited at the same time. Nauseous as all heck. I'm glad there's a group that is here to support older expecting moms.

Congratulations! The human body is amazing. I hope you can relax and look after yourself especially during these early weeks. I'm 40 and 19 weeks on my first after a few miscarriages.

Omg, first of all, congrats! I'm 26 can't really relate but from what I have learned during biology, you are fine. There will be a higher risk of down syndrome but as you know it can happen to anyone. Take your prenatal vitamins especially folic acid and vitamin c. Make sure to avoid certain foods and make your appointment good luck xx
