I am quite inspired by all of those that have had success conceiving after 40.  The stories we all share are great testamony and give us hope. Don't give up.  Also wishing you much success Annie Brooke!!!! Congrats also to Mommieat50.

There is a woman on here now known who is at least 4 months pregnant at 50!
Her screen name is Mommieat50.

She met a medhelp member in the waiting room of a clinic and was there to get an ultrasound because the doctor believed that she may have a tumor.  Her husband has just died only a couple of months ago from cancer.  She thought she was going to suffer that same fate until the ultrasound revealed that she is 4+ months pregnant naturally.  The medhelp member that she met actually went with her to the ultrasound because she didn't want to be alone.  Later, she helped Mommieat50 sign up for an account on Medhelp so that she can have some support.  It is a bittersweet story.  I try to keep up with her.  So it can happen when you least expect it!!!

Your RE is an idiot.  Your chances at 43-44 are low if you are using your own eggs, but with a donor egg your timeline expands into your 50s.   My RE's clinic (very reputable) takes women up to age 52.  I had my first child when I was past 50.

I think it would go to PamelaBee she is 46 and has a six month old DD, so she was either 45 or 46 at delivery, not sure when her birthday is.

It's always great to hear some inspiring stories. My RE told me my chances at 43-44 were zero and suggested I pursue therapy instead of motherhood. Lucky for me the therapy I found was the message boards here :D

Hi.I'm 45yrs in April and 13 weeks pregnant today.
All going ok apart from the nuchal scans which have been hard to get measurements done due to my babies body position so have my third try on friday.
This is my 4th baby.
My other children are 25yrs,21yrs,14yrs and 3 granddaughters-6yrs,3yrs and 4 months.

I came to the site when I was pregnant 4 years ago, and I was way older than you are now.  LOL :)  I'm about to try my last IVF, and if it works, I'll be downright geriatric.  But if you did this with no help from an RE, good work!
