I'm so sorry you are going through another loss; it's hard. I had 5 miscarriages before I went on to have a healthly pregnancy and he will be 2 on December 30th. I went to see an RE after my 4th loss. My RE told me that it was just bad luck, your eggs are as old as you are. Basically I was just getting a bad egg. But I was not going to give up and I knew in my heart it would happen and the Lord would bless us with a healthly baby. Don't give up on your dream; I know it's hard but you will be blessed...keep trying if you can.
Thanks, I will ask my doctor to test all of these things when I return back for my follow-up.
Have you had your blood sugar tested?
Even better, have you ever had an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) done? This can show you if you're insulin resistant even if your blood sugar is normal. If you're insulin resistant in any way you can easily lose pregnancies. Four years ago I took part in a study where they did OGTTs and they revealed that I was insulin resistant, even though my blood sugar was normal. Fast forward to March of this year, when I was diagnosed as diabetic. We had been t.t.c. and nothing worked. The oral medicine I was prescribed treated the insulin resistance and I got pregnant a few months later. But looking back, I'm pretty certain there was at least one time I conceived, but it didn't stick. It's really worth finding out if you have insulin resistance before getting other tests/treatments.
When we had difficulty this time,I had 2 doctors tell me I was in early menopause and couldnt have more kids and when I went to the RE she did all kinds of testing things I never knew were tested, did ultrasounds, swabs, biopsys, hsg, and she told me they were wrong and explained what was wrong and had a plan to fix it. Most insurance companies will let you see an RE as long as you have a referral. I am sorry you are going through this and I hope you get some answers soon. Good luck.
Thank ladies... I am seen a specialist now... She did do all kind of testing, and the clot testing was neg, as all of the rest. I haven't seen an RE yet. Not sure if they take our insurance. My regular OB told me not to worry about the Fibroids; however, I haven't discussed it with my specialist yet. Once I heal from this broken-heart I will decide which way I will go. Again Thanks for the advice.
This breaks my heart! I am so sorry girl!!
I would suggest you move on to an RE. They have more advanced testing and access to better meds than an OB. I had 2 m/c(never got a real reason except low progesterone) had 2 healthy sons and then had difficulty TTC this time. Saw an RE and they found I had high fsh, low amh, a polyp in my uterus, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and lining was too thick for implantation. With all that said had surgery and took meds and I am now 28 weeks pg. The RE tested everything in the book even things I have never heard of before. Might be the next step you need to take. Good luck to you.
I am so sorry that this is happening to you. Fibriods are know to cause issues for miscarriage. Has your Dr told you to have removed?
Have you gone to a high risk OB? I have learned that are full of information & prefer seeing patients even prior to getting pregnant. Atleast here in NY that is how it was.
Did you get testing for all those blood clotting issues?
Sending you best wishes & prayers that you have another successful pregnancy
