Breastfeeding),:

My son is now almost 3 months & he still hasn't latched on. I have an appointment tomorrow with a lactation consultant, but I'm nervous to get help. I've been postponing it because I feel inadequate as a mother, I should be able to do this. Any other ladies have issues accepting help or have any similar situation that had a positive outcome?

I hope it all works out for you. You shouldn't feel inadequate.  your trying to be successful with it by making the appointment when you could just give up so kudos to you. If breast feeding was so easy there wouldn't be lactation consultants!

My baby girl is 8 weeks old and can't latch without the shield. I understand your feelings. Let me know what you find out.

I Had My Daughter In 2006, She Wouldn't Latch Until 6 Months. It Was A Happy Day When I Threw Away The Sheild.
