Fertility abbreviations.....could someone please help?

Could someone that has the time please make a list of all the abbreviations that are used here and associated with fertility? I am tracking my ovulation with an OPK and CM checks. My tracker here on MedHelp changed to say TWW today and I have no idea what that means along with many other abbreviations that are used here in this forum.

Thanks and I am praying for all of us to have our BFP soon!

Thank you so much for the response. That's exactly what I wanted to know. My last cycle was 32 days long. I am keeping track of my cycle, so I will know the luteal phase time as soon as I start. I will probably check back with you. I am new to all this and as I said I am 45 yrs old and we want a baby. TR for January unless I get convinced I'm not ovulating.

Thank you again,

Pamela

Ok, just reread your post, and I see your cycle is normally 32 days long.  Your right on the edge, but a 10 day luteal phase is ok usually.

Well, it depends on how long your entire cycle is.  In a perfect world we ovulate 14 days before AF starts.  If the time frame is shorter then 10 days that is considered a luteal phase defect and can (and probably will) impact our ability to conceive.  So if you have a 35 day cycle, ovulating on day 21 is perfect.  If you have a 32 to 35 day cycle, your fine. Anything shorter then that and it may be problematic.

Good luck!!

Hey Girl!

Thanks for the link.

I have been doing OPK testing everyday since CD 12. This is day 21 of my cycle which is usually 32 days long. Have had some close to positive until today and have done 2 test and the test line is definately darker than the control line. My cervical mucus did the stringy thing yesterday.

Is it normal to ovulate on such a late day in my cycle? I am 45 and have not had my TR yet. The reason I am doing the OPK and CM check is to make sure I am still ovulating before I have my TR in January.

Here is a complete list for you from our MH Healthpages.

TWW is two week wait.

I know, they can be so confusing can't they.  It took me forever to get them all straight.  This list is extensive, so please let me know if there are any specific ones you would like to know.
