HORRIBLE NEWS - Please pray.
I don't quite know how to say this. But we have some very bad news. My precious little boy, Ian, has a brain tumor. He acted a little sick on Wednesday, and grew increasingly ill on Thursday. By Thursday night, he was lethargic and just acted "off". I knew something was wrong. I then noticed that his "soft spot" was bulging, and we took him to urgent care. They transported him by ambulance to an excellent children's hospital, where a CT scan showed a very large mass on his brain. An MRI was done, and the neuro surgeon did immediate emergency surgery. He has a tumor that is the size of 2/3 of his brain. They were able to remove half of it in surgery, but the prognosis is not good. The tumor has grown "tentacles" into Ian's brain. I am absolutely heartbroken and beside myself. It seems like a bad dream. I feel like someone kicked me in the chest, and I just want to die. Please, please, pray for my little boy. Pray for the best outcome, even if that means that he dies, rather than lives as a vegetable. Oh God...I can't believe this.

Just joined as a member and it was so sad to read about your son ian. i am so deeply sorry and we pray that he will recover.
Anything I am putting on these med forums are mild in comparison to what you are going through right now, and I truly feel terrible for you and Ian. There is really nothing anyone can say that is going to help, but I am sending love your way.
I'm keeping baby Ian and you in my prayers. May God help your through this terrible ordeal and he heal and protect baby Ian.

God, please be with Tricia and her family. God please allow for your will to happen. God I ask that you put the knowledge in the doctors head and the skills in their hands that will allow them to treat Ian in a miraculous way.
Tricia - I do know a little boy who had a brain tumor as well and he fully recovered. At one point his prognosis was so bad he was a part of the Make a Wish Foundation. Science had no hope for him. I believe he ended with treatment at St. Jude's Hospital. He is now in middle school and plays sports. Believe in God and believe in miracles that God performs.

I am so sorry to hear about this. I just saw someone posted to pray for you and I had to search and see what was going on. I am praying and thinking about you and baby IAN.
ive never talked to you on medhelp before but this post made me cry and i am soo so sorry for your horrible news. i will be praying every day that baby ian pulls through! stay strong! god works in mysterious ways and his answers will be clear soon...again i am so sorry.

I'm at a loss. I feel terrible for you all and will add my prayers to all of the others that all goes as well as it possibly can for your son. My heart goes out to you.

I am so very sorry to hear this dreadful news. I cannot imagine what you are going through. He is is my thoughts and prayers.
I know that the power of God will bless all of you with what you need for baby Ian. Always remember GOD IS BIGGER than any problem you encounter in life and GOD IS ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU when you need him. GOD BLESS and KNOW THERE IS POWER IN PRAYER!
