Hcg levels at 4wks4days

Just when we decide to go on a break.......we did it again. Aunt Flo decided not to show on Sat Dec 3rd but I didnt think much of it.  I was scheduled to have an MRI that following Mon, so as a routine question the tech asked if I was pregnant or experiencing a late period.  I told her I was like two days late so she declined to do the exam until I was sure I wasn't preggo.  So I go buy an HPT and surprise, surprise, it is positive. I had a miscarriage in May.  The only symptom being non rising hcg.  So the next morning (tues) I call the doc and beg for a quant test.  At that point I should have been 4 wks 4days.  It came back 116.  The doc says I am probably barely preg and to redo test Monday.  Question is......has anyone had a number that low at 4wks and had a successful pregnancy.  Terrified to lose this one too.  Been there twice.  Don't want to go through it again.

As long as they double or more every 48 hrs this is a good sign of a normal healthy pregnancy.

I had an early scan only the sac could be seen so they did bloods which started off low then every 48hrs which did increase so was a good sign.  I had a 2nd scan at 8weeks and we cld see our little blob.

Im now 38w along everything has went well so stay positive xx

Yep.  At 14 dpo (exactly 4 weeks), my levels were only 30 something.  My OB had me wait a whole week to have them redone...ugghh, was agony!  But he is here and going to be 2 in January.  This last pregnancy my levels at the same point were 200 and something and I miscarried.  So do not worry about those numbers...it's the rise that matters.  Ok, so no point in saying not to worry, I know you will.  Impossible not to.  But it honestly means nothing.  That number is just fine!  Huge congrats on your pregnancy and keeping everything crossed for a healthy and happy 9 months.

hcg levels have to start somewhere 25 and up means your pregnant, so the actual amount doesnt really matter its what they do that matters so they should rise by a minimum of 60% over a 48-72 hr timeframe, most doctors like to see them double during this time, there is a huge range of normal hcg levels at aroud 4wks

You might just not be as far along as you think. Until they repeat your blood test and you know is your hCG levels rise of not, then there's no way to tell. I know how horrible it is to wait though, but that's all you can do. Some women just have slow rising hCG levels - it's more important what that actual number does, not how much it is - as long as it's rising and you don't have any serious bleeding or cramping then all should be well.
