Help with a name

Hi everyone. I'm due next month with a little girl, and we can't come up with a name. Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Here are some on our list:  Anna, Ella, Alyssa, Alayna, Mia, Madeline.   We are not set on any of these.  Thank you!

Thanks for the ideas. I like all of these. Ava, mya, and sophia are on my list, too. Rylee Elizabeth is my nieces name. I like all of these. I just wish I loved one!  It would make the decision easier.

Go on line and make sure the name isnt on the top 100 list. You don't want to send your child to school and them be in a class with six other kids with the same name.  I'm pregnant now and if its a girl we are naming it Kinleigh Marie.

LOL so the solution is to pick a name that is difficult to spell?

I have two girls and their names are Izabela and Emma. I have two on the way and also trying to decide. We like Jaden and Nina. I always think if the last name is long then the first name should be short so that it fits in the line when they will be signing LOL!!! Also I keep in mind that the good name is recognized everywhere and easy to pronounce. I like Amelie A LOT, that's from the French movie :-) so many choises! God luck!

I've always liked Malia (not because of the president's daughter) but I was a fan of a pro surfer named Malia Jones - she was beautiful, athletic, and the named seemed to fit her..I looked up the meaning of the name which is Spanish in origin - it gave several meanings, the first meaning was "bitter"  but it also means "calm" and "peaceful".  In Swahili it means "queen".  I also like Amanda and Alexandra - mostly because I think Alex is a cute name for a little girl.  Let me know what you think!

I know loads of Ellas - for good reason  - it's a beautiful name. I noticed you had Alayna. . .
May I suggest Ellaina? A mix of the two - and my step daughters name. She is very beautiful & very smart! Also not something seen very often!
Mia is beautiful  - great for any age too.

I like Malia. I was reading the People magazine today and came across it. It's pretty.  I have never heard of Ellaina, but I like it, too. It's definitely one to consider. Alexandra is a pretty name, but we have an Alex in the family already. I really do appreciate all the help. I'm a planner, and it's bugging me that I don't have a name yet. My husband could probably wait until we gave her, but I'm not that way.

Malia is beautiful - I saw "Mahalia" written in 2 places yesterday - similar. My first was named prior to birth - my second only on the day we left hospital and my third (to a different father - we are not together) 3 and a half months after the birth - do not recommend this!!

My daughters are named Emily (super common - don't use! even though I like it) and Camille (love), but we call the younger one Mimi.  Malia is beautiful, but sure to become like Emily- six to a class. My duaghter Camille has a girl in her class named Calla, and this is really pretty and different.

When I saw the name Calla above, it made me think of another name I like which is Chloe...it's not common, but when I've asked my friends about it, they either liked it or couldn't stand it! :)  I still like Malia, maybe Malia Rae.  So far its just broken the top 300, but alikat may be right - because it sounds so similar to aLOT of popular names...
