Hormonal Changes or Am I Pregnant

I'm 41 and capable of getting pregnant. My period is now three late and a pregnancy tested positive. I was wondering if hormonal changes can cause a test to be positive?

I am trying to conceive especially for a girl.  My menstrual is every 30 days and regular.  I had relations on Sept.1st and that's it, I had no more.  I am due for my mestrual on Sept.25.  I started feeling very heavy in the abdomen area and bloated.  I took a blood test and it came back negative for pregnancy.  Would it be too early for blood test to come back positive?  Is it that I will have a heavy menstrual period soon?  Can I get pregnant with that one time even though it was far away from my ovulation time?

I wouldn't think so, you might want to take another and if it comes up positive again call your doctor, or do like we do on here and insist on them seeing you ASAP!!..lol
good luck to you if that is what you want. If not I envy you!!
