How not to stress???

I'm 35, currently 4.5 weeks with my first baby...had gastric bypass 6 months ago (to be able to conceive). I had no idea u don't see the Dr until 8-10 weeks along, so now I've been taking a pregnancy test every morning just to make sure I'm still pregnant. I'm soooo nervous that something will go wrong...how do you all not stress until that first appointment??? I have 4 more weeks until my appt...thanks!

You should also be scheduling to meet with your gastric specialist. They will want to monitor you as well and you will need to be extra vigilant to ensure you are getting enough nutrients and that your vitamin levels are good. And congratulations! :)

I'm surprised they don't see you before that because you've recently had GB. Umm, do they know this at the OB's office?

I completely understand your agony. I've had four pregnancies, two of which were after a miscarriage. Just understand that what you're feeling is completely normal. Also understand that there is absolutely nothing you can do to prevent a miscarriage. If it's going to happen, your body will just do it. Try not to worry about it and try to enjoy every day of being pregnant. It's a gift whether it lasts for 9 months or 3 weeks. Enjoy building life!
