Glucose Test
Anyone know much about Glucose numbers? I had a test and they said number came back high and want me to retest. I asked what number was and they said 113. I asked them even after eating and that is high . .nurse said yes and come retest. All research I find says 113 is within normal to low range for after eating . . . anyone know anything on this?
Thats high for fasting...but the cut off after the one hour is 139 or less...basically at 140 they can make you retest...if 113 was after you ate/drank...then i would call and clarify...cuz thats actually a really good score!
For me high was 120 for fasting. I was 112 not fasting and my doctor said it looked great.
Do you think they could have said 130, instead of 113? Most doctors considers 130/140 the cutoff for what's considered normal. But either way, it doesn't necessarily mean you have gestational diabetes. All it means is that you're borderline and have to come back for the three-hour test. Best of luck with everything!
