OMG - I cleaned my washing machine today

It started out with noticing that the storage shelves next to my washing machine were rather grimy, so I took everything off and cleaned from top to bottom. Then, before I added another load of laundry, I noticed grime and detergent build-up around the edges of the washing machine lid, the softener cup, etc. I used an entire roll of paper toweling cleaning out all the grime from the crevices of the machine. It was about half way through that I started laughing at myself and what had to have been some serious nesting!

I had to hire someone to come in and do the regular cleaning for me now because I can't handle it anymore and DH only vacuums.  After the last time I cleaned I was down and out for the entire next day because I did too much - it is amazing how side tracked you can get when you start dusting one thing!  Next thing the entire dining room hutch is empty and every glass and bowl and shelf is spotless!  Now that I don't have to do the regular cleaning my cabinets and drawers are getting cleaned out every time I turn around.  Last weekend it was the entire fridge and spice cabinet and pantry - this weekend I took it easy, it was only the tupperware drawer!  DH better watch out of his office will never be the same again!  I think he needs to lock the door!

I'm telling you, my house can not get any cleaner! I have been nesting like a mad woman for the last week and a half! DH told me yesterday that I needed to take a break before I had Brayden and was too busy to realize it..hehe I seriously know where you are coming from.. Won't be long now ladies!!!!!

tahariel, you are offically invited to my house!! My DH has been home ALOT (today cause it rained all day yesterday and it's to muddy to work ) and my DD goes to pre school M/W/F in the town my parents are from so I hang out at thier house for the 2 1/2 hour she is there. It seems I just have the energy to make things look clean. (sigh) Hopefully when she's done with school and he gets back to work full time I'll pull it together.

You and I are going through the same thing although I'm not near as thorough as you!  Instead, I'll have dh or dd do clean the washing machine.  What a good idea!  I liked doing the fun stuff like buying stuff for the baby & doing the nursery.
