Paid family leave

Are there any moms that had  worked in California and received PFL during her maternity leave?? I want to know your experience... I know they pay you up to 3 months but after that there is another program called "baby bonding time" that can pay you up another extra 3 months, I believe those extra 3 months have to be paid back when you do your taxes, but you get to spend more time with your newborn baby.... Has anyone done or heard or this before?

I would contact you companies HR dept. My husband is looking at taking the PFL after our son is born. His company gives him 2 weeks paid using his vacation time and then he can take 6 more weeks that CA pays but its at a discounted pay rate, anywhere from 50%-75% of his normal pay but can not be more than 1085.00 a week. And you can take all 6 weeks at one time or 2 weeks at a time over 1 year after birth. I think if you want to use any paid time off to make up the difference you can, just cant be more than 100% of your standard pay. I found all the info at the gov web site for PFL
