Pets and babies

How have you been preparing your pets for your new arrival? I have been making the baby stuff a positive thing for my 2 kitties. They are now bored with most of it and pay no attention to it. I have also been playing recordings of baby sounds to get them used to it.

My dog loves riding in the car. I put the car seat in place so he can get use to that. I'm a ftm too. So that's all I got!

And dogs can't hurt the baby by accident? Loose fur is a given with having animals. The question was how you are preparing your pets for baby's arrival.

Just becareful with pets bc the fur can choke the baby or the cats might accidently hurt the baby.  We had two huge akeida dogs.  They were fine,  but once she crawlinh n walking we had to take them out bc they would knock her down or growel at her if got too choose. They chewed her toys. They were jealous of her

When you have the baby get baby smell of a blanket or something and have someone bring it home for you so pets can get used to the smell that is something I was told to do by many family members because I have two dogs (4 years old and 9 months old) :-)

I've been wondering the same thing. My babies love to sit on top of me all the time. When the baby gets here I don't know what I'm going to do. I guees in my last trimester, I need to slowly start making them get down.
