Pregnancy SO different after 35+

I had my first child when I was 23.  I was so active, mowing the lawn full term pregnant, flexible, feeling fine.  Fast forward to this pregnancy at age 36....oh heavens, what on earth?  I'm 31weeks and SO sore, and SO stiff, and SO tired.  If I go on a 1-2 mile walk (or waddle) in the morning (with my belly band on bc of this blasted pubic bone pain), I am EXHAUSTED and feel like I was hit by a truck.  Is this pregnancy in old age?  Anyone else feel like you are falling apart and limping towards the finish line?  Gosh I miss that 23yo body! Lol

I was 30 years old when I carried my first child. 35 years old now & 37 weeks pregnant. HUGE difference!!! HUGE! I loved being pregnant w/ my first, bounced around, active, felt great. Feel like an old woman w/ this one! Cannot wait to feel like myself again.

I am 37 and expecting baby #3,29 weeks(first boy)! I thought it was just me with the fatigue and 0 energy! Im also carrying larger than i was with my girls(24 & 32 yrs old with them). It must be normal for the age. Also i was a large D cup & since this pregnancy, i have shrunk to a small C! Anyone know why? I loved my boobs, hope i get them back!

I had my first at 31,and now at 42 I'm having baby #4. There was a big difference for me between my second pg at 34 and my third at 39... I was so wiped out during my third that I would nap every afternoon and had a really hard time getting around with my pelvic bones separating. I think I am a little less tired this time around,  but I'm only 27 weeks and having two busy older kids and a toddler keeps me from getting those naps in.

Yes, same here... This is our 4th and we had previous 3 during our 20s. Fast forward to now.. I am 35 and almost 7 months pregnant and this is horrible. I just told my husband I feel like I've been hit by a Mack truck LoL... pelvis, butt, legs, hips super sore.. swelling in legs and feet. I was so active with all other pregnancies... I am certain it had to do with age lol

Totally agree I'm 35 and on my 6th pregnancy with baby number 7. Running after the other 6 all day does wear me out but I know it's not just that I definitely think age is affecting me this time around

1st pregnancy I was 25/26yo--I had some morning sickness and was sooo hungry. I was slightly tired but worked on my feet till the end.  Now pregnant at 37 and I've had no morning sickness and not much appetite but I'm sooo exhausted and out of breath at just 6wks pregnant!

I had my first pregnancy at 35. Now pregnant again at 37. I can feel huge difference in the pregnancies even though they are only two years apart.

This time around I have no energy and am always exhausted, stiff, or achy somewhere. Even though I still work full time (27 weeks) I have no motivation and can hardly focus. I never used to forget anything at work but I'm way more absent minded, too. I was offered a promotion recently but said "no thanks" because I knew I just couldn't take on more new responsibilities. LOL!

i had my first one when i was 39 and now i am 41 yo with the second one on the 37th week. i have to say that the first pregnancy was much more difficult, i felt tired all the time and a total scatterbrain. the second one seems to be much smoother and i am active and focused. I developed in both pregnancies gestational diabetes but other than than, the rest was fine. I am sure things would have been easier if i were 21 but apparently it's possible at 40+

It's so reassuring to read these comments. I'm having my first age 40. I am lucky that I am not currently working (although that brings its own problems). I generally am active and motivated. I'm 22 week and can hardly walk for 20 mins without needing to sit down and I've been sleeping so much...since early pregnancy. I'm glad to be able to show all these comments to my partner as he doesn't seem to get how I'm so tired (he has 2 kids already, youngest 11)

Oh my goodness! I totally feel extremely different. I just turned 35 today and exactly 34 weeks today. This my last child I had at 27 and was able to go on vacation and walk around Niagara Falls for 8 hours before getting tired. This time, I can barely make it up the stairs before passing out! I'm breathing like I just ran a marathon by the time I reach the top! If you ask me, age definitely plays a part in this! LOL.......

I was 17 when I had my son. Now 37 and our daughter is 3 weeks old. Things were definitely different from then to now. I got tired easily and out of breath quickly. We moved when I was 6 months pregnant and I started crying because I got so tired after taking 3 boxes to my truck. Try to rest when possible and don't push yourself too hard. Remember, it's only temporary.
