Pregnant at 43, is there holistic care for pregnant women? Where can I find info?

I just took 2 home pregnancy tests, one on 12/15 and one this morning 12/16, and both have been positive. I'm 43 and have never had children. If these tests are correct, I have until August of 2016 to learn - everything! This is a beautiful and terrifying gift, but motherhood? Oh my! I want to believe I'll be a great mom but I know so very little. I have been scouring the internet for ANYTHING and everything. I don't want to announce anything to friends and family yet because if the tests are right I'm only counting from last month to the day today and all I have to go on is the at home testers (First Response). I believe they are correct because I'm experiencing things that I never have before. I'm leery to say "women's intuition" but I think I almost have to. I have a wonderful husband who is very supportive and excited, we just need information. Right now, every little thing will help. Are there any holistic doctors who specialize in pregnancy? Thanks!

Congratulations! I'm 39 and considered high risk so they will do plenty of tests to confirm and make sure everything is good. Enjoy it. You probably won't see a doc until between 9-11 weeks. That's how it was for me. Hearing the baby's heartbeat for the first time is amazing! So enjoy and stay positive! It'll be good!

Congratulations your pregnant!!
You have plenty of time to read and learn stop worrying.....lol easier said than done I know.... Keep your pregnancy simple....the mere fact that your over 35 will put you in a category called high risk....meaning their going to want to pay extra attention to you and baby because of your age. Holistic doctor don't play by those rules that other doctors play by and right now you need to listen carefully to your doctor. First thing first fine the best doctor or midwife or the like and make your first appointment. Congratulations again

I have a friend who used to work for a pregnancy test manufacturer. She said it's impossible to get a false positive but because they make a ton of money off women testing multiple times to make sure they keep that fact a secret.

So congratulations! You're pregnant!!

Try looking for a midwife in your area. A midwife is a nurse practitioner that specializes in ob. They can help with a natural un medicated childbirth. Some work with hospitals. Others do house calls or work at a birthing center. Maybe they can recommend a doctor if you do not feel comfortable having a midwife.
