My first symptom was always fatigue. Like that "I really am not sure I can drag this body around any longer unless I lay down for a while" kind of fatigue. I mean, we can always get pregnant as long as we aren't through menopause. I think staying pregnant is challenging as the quality of eggs decreases over time. I'm older than you and now through menopause but my doctor grilled me on birth control until then because she said 'don't think you can't get pregnant!". so, it 'could' be. Is your cycle still regular? I know during my time of going through menopause, I was regular but my gosh, my cycles were so heavy. I guess that is not uncommon. The first few days of my period were rough. I did have hormonal changes that included lots of breast tenderness when pregnant AND during the menopause years as hormones were shifting. If your period is at all regular, can you test when you get to the 2.5 week point past when it's due?
