A digital test could have been why it showed negative. Digital tests are less sensitive than the other lined tests, and usually take longer to show a positive if you are pregnant. If you want to test early, the best thing to use is First Response with first morning urine. Good luck to you!!!
I know its still early and all i took a clear blue easy digital and it was neg but i am also only on CD 12 i'm just inpatient....i just have been extremly tired, very stuffy and grouchy.
Just wanted to add that after most ET, they give you a shot of Pregnyl which is HCG which tricks the body into thinking you're pregnant. That can also give you a false positive - they suggest doing a HPT 11 days post ET - but I'm hoping its the real deal for you!
I took a test 3 days before af was due and got negative.....2 days later got positive :). Also, supposedly, first response early detection is the most sensitive test.....worked for me!!!
Good luck!! One word of caution..if you do take a test early and it's negative, that does not mean you are not pregnant. It is possible it's just to early. Also, make sure you use first morning urine so that it is concentrated. Please update us!! SSBD (super sticky baby dust)
Thank You soooo much time to take a test....wish me luck
It sure is. Lots of women do. Home pregnancy tests work off of the hormone hcg. HCG begins to show in the blood after implantation, then moves to the urine. A very sensitive test has been known to pick it up 7 or 8 days past ovulation. When it becomes positive is a bit different for everyone. Implantation can occur as early as 3 days for some, as late as 10 for others. In early pregnancy hcg doubles every 48 hours or so. So, depending on when implantation occurs and how sensitive your test is, it is very possible to get a positive before period is due. In fact it's very common.
