I am seeing Dr nemiro, MarieVince! LOL. I live in AZ. No baby yet though. I know Dr Nemiro does successful tubal reversals as Ive talked to a couple women in his waiting room. I do not know if tubes can be unblocked or not.. I know they can be un-tied.
I only have one tube...my right was removed about 20 years ago...im a little over 11 weeks w/my second child...my daughter will be 2 soon...and i'm 37...soooooo yes you can have babies...im even old and one tube was plenty!! :)
Contact dr. Jay nemiro. Hes the best. He can unblock your tubes (most likely). Dont do anything else until you talk to him.
Just jumping in...my sister had a grapefruit sized ovarian cyst which required the removal of her ovary. She got pregnant 3 times with just one ovary....it can happen! Keep a positive attitude.
All you need is one good tube and one good ovary.. as long as they're located on the same side. My friend, who never thought she could conceive, got pregnant naturally at 36 or 37, and she has one ovary, and I think only one tube. But she gave birth to a healthy baby boy despite her past gyn issues. Meds will definitely increase your chances of producing more eggs and conceiving. Good luck.
One blocked tube. Never tried anything but two cycles of ivf with no results. Any good doctors near Detroit for IUI treatment?? I went to Henry Ford in Troy and wasn't to pleased.
thanks for all your replies ladies. you give me hope.
I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility. I did IUI three times. The first IUI, I got pg but it turned out to be ectopic and my right tube was removed. The second IUI didn't work, but my chances were really low because the 2 follicles were on the side without a tube. My third IUI, I had one mature follicle on the side with a tube. I got pg and am now 35wks pg!! YAY!!
There are two women that I work with that got pg naturally with only one tube. But they weren't have any problems getting pg before they lost their tube.
Best of luck to you.. You might consider having your blocked tube removed. I heard they can leak toxins into your uterus that will poison early pgs and result in miscarriage. something you might want to ask your dr about.
YES!!! My left tube was totally blocked too. I did do Follistim injections to stimulate the ovaries. We watched via ultrasound to make sure the left ovary didn't do anything, thankfully no. And had an IUI to inseminate. Lo and behold...Kathryn!
YES!!! However, they will tell you your chances are now cut in half, duh! :)
Keep trying, you will succeed if it is meant to be.
PS...I was one of the lucky ones that it worked first time out with Follistim. Not all folks are that lucky, but they say to give anything you try at least 6 months.
Good luck and baby dust!
I have a friend that had her right ovarie and tube removed and she got pregnant naturally twice.
My friend lost one tube to an ectopic and became successfully pregnant after with just one tube. I don't know the details for any specific medications she was on, but her pregnancy was a success. Good luck.
i was told i had 2 blocked fallopian tubes, and referred for ivf,but got pregnant, the month i had to attend,i had tubal reversal,so was high risk 4 ectopic, i was ectopic, and got methotrexate yesterday,as only my right tube was connected during surgery,i only had a 50% chance,,but even tho both were blocked after op,one must have opened,my ectopic was in left tube,it still gives me hope to try again,so keep tryin,p.s i'm still on waitin list for ivf,and will keep tryin until then,go for your consultation as there is a waitin list, keep your options open, good luck
