Ditto to everything Christine says.  Conception would have probably taken place the week after your period (you cannot get your period when pregnant although some women may experience period like bleeding), however it is extremely unlikely you would be experiencing any symptoms.  Wait until your next period is due and take a home pregnancy test.  Good luck.

It is a bit early to be having pregnancy symptoms.

To answer your question...yes, you could get pregnant from having unprotected sex a week after your period. "Normally" a woman ovulates on Day 14 (the first day of your period is Day 1)...so if you had say a 4 day period, a week later would be Day 11. Sperm can survive a while (5 days or so) in your reproductive tract...so if you had sex on Day 11 and ovulated on Day 14...sperm could very well be waiting for the egg when it is released.

You can test 14 days after you had intercourse...so test on or after July 9th if you haven't gotten your period. If it is negative, retest in a week if you period still hasn't come. Use the first urine of the day and follow all directions on the test carefully.
