It took my husband & I over 6 months to get pregnant. After a couple months, I decided to get my body healthy & started a low carb diet, found a good period & ovulation app on my phone as well as I purchased ovulation testing sticks. I found that I ovulated earlier than the typical day 14 in my cycle. I actually ovulated on day 10. It took a couple months to figure out the right times for my body but  by that time I had also lost 18 pounds & this just might be dumb luck, but I also started a prenatal vitamin.
One piece of advice is don't let trying to get pregnant become a stressful experience. Don't beat yourself up because you didn't get pregnant when you thought you should be & don't think any little possible symptom is a sure sign your pregnant like I did because it was devastating when my period came. Once I finally told my husband that I was done trying to get pregnant & mentally released that pressure I put on myself, we got pregnant!
I wish you luck & keep a positive attitude because it will happen, it's just not as easy as we were originally taught in sex ed at school.  :)

Take evening primrose oil just until you ovulate. It helped me with the right cervical mucus for sperm. Us "old ladies" sometimes dont produce as much.

Whole milk, whole grains, lean chicken or turkey, berries, oysters, and salom. Being active(exercising helps). You may want to know when u ovulating to so can start the babymaking process
