Tubes tied

Thinking of getting tubes tied after having baby as will be third. Anyone else doing the same?

Just decided last OB visit (31 week) that though I am 39 & open to a#4 (currently have boy-10, girl-9, baby boy due in April)...I really don't want to go through another pregnancy and am concerned about a 4th C-section. My Hubbie ALSO refused to get snipped but agrees we should stop at 3....So I'll tell my OB at tomorrow's 33wk appt. to schedule me at the time of my cSection (4/30)....bittersweet thoughts on it though.

I was hoping my husband would concede and get snipped but he refuses so I too will be having my tubes tied.  I am 39.  Baby is due two months before I turn 40.

I think at 39 going on 40, that I can safely say...I'm done having children. I said that before after I miscarried the last baby and had to take the mini pill bc I have high blood pressure. So, I was on the pill and here comes the rainbow baby. But, for my own health issues this one is my last.  And I will be seeking a permanent form of birth control.

I just had my 4th via csection on this pat Thursday. I now have 4 under 5 years old and chose to have my tubes tied this time.

I'm also thinking in have it done, this is going to be my third and going to be 38 at the yime this one is born, I'm going to have a csection and need time to heal the surgery completely so get pregnant after my 40?? I don't want to!!!

I am thinking about the same thing. I have one 19 year old and now pregnant with twins. What more can a girl ask for. I asked my husband to have a vasectomy but he refused. Lol. As long as this pregnancy goes according to plans I will make a decision at some point as I am 36 years old.

Yes I'm going to do something this will be my second. I'm 35 and already have a boy not sure what this one is but will find out next week.

I have seen something called essure, at the drs office. They place something in your Fallopian tubes that prevents conception. It may be less costly, more effective, and less invasive. I have to do my research on this one because I only eyed the diagram at the office.

I too am getting my tunes tied. I have two boys and this pregnancy I'm having a girl!!!

I am.  I scheduled my c-section/tubal about a month ago.  It is set for April 14th. This is my 2nd. I will have a girl and a boy and am 37. I decided before I got pregnant, that I would have a tubal.

I'm getting my cut. My doctor said it will slightly lower chances of ovarian cancer. This will be my second but at 38 I really don't want anymore. Good luck!

YES!!!!this will be my 5th daughter and I'm 37. Definitely getting my tubes tied..my other daughter's are 18,16,14 and 11..just found out my 18yr old is pregnant too!! HELP!!!...lol
