Vanishing twin syndrome

Hello I am 37 years old that's my 7 pregnancy , 4 kids 2 miscarriages until now . Last Friday I had scan and I was told that I am expecting twins but one of them died 4 weeks ago , they have separate sacs and placenta , want  to know is there any danger for my healthy baby now , and what's happens with the vts will I miscarriage the died baby , will I bleed ??? Help please coz I am scared

My sister had a vanishing twin. Her body reabsorbed it, and the other one is a heathy 6 year old now.

Klaudia,  did your doctor not consult with you on this?  Can you call your doctor's nurse?  It's good to do research on your own,  but did your doctor offer you any information that would clarify your questions?  Each case is different - and in this case,  it would be helpful to have your doctor's opinion since they know the situation.

Your body might break down the dead baby , and your healthy baby might absorb it. Which I've heard is possible
