I am 38 years old and had mine removed in Nov '11. I got pregnant in Dec, but had a miscarriage in Jan. I tried again immediately  in Feb, and am now 14 weeks. So, it can happen immediately. I would suggest waiting a month or so after removal. I believe I had my miscarriage because I tried too soon. God luck and keep us posted:)

After 40, one's chances are reduced.  If you google "odds of pregnancy after 40," you can find the stats and the risks.  See your doctor as well.
