Have the same ongoing concern. We did a cell free DNA test. Sent from Nairobi Kenya to California. Results expected any day now. Been exactly a week since the test was done. In Nairobi Kenya; it costs USD. 900.00

More than Down Syndrome, Trisome 13 & 18 is a much bigger concern

Unfortunately it can't be prevented it's a genetic condition due to an extra chromosome. There are ways to find out in pregnancy if your baby has downs syndrome or not. They can tell you if your high or low risk via ultrasound and blood tests and then if your high risk there are other tests they can perform to get a more accurate answer.

Downs is when the baby has an extra chromosome. It can't be prevented but it is something doctors test for.
