I was induced 9 days after due date cuz water sprang a leak :-( 24 hours of labor and I never progressed past 2cm. Had an emerg. Csection. Baby's cord was around her neck twice so she couldn't come out.

Mama of_two how did an induction not work? Just curious because I've never heard it didn't work

Im currently 38 weeks with my 3rd baby being induced on Tuesday...my first two pregnancies I was induced aswell both were different my first I didnt really know what to expect being it was my first baby...it did go much faster then I expected and even when i told the nurse i felt a strong urge to push plz ck me and she didnt untill after my husband raised hell the nursing telling idk what im talking about that ill be in labor for quite some time and also pushing for a while....not the case definitely listen to ur body and what ur feeling and dont be afraid to speek up...I was in labor 4 hours and pushed for 30 min...my second the experience more intense the nurse kept messing with the level of potosin I was givin my contractions would come on on so fast and painful and then go back to normal...I went from 3 cm dialated to 9 in less then an hour and by that time I was told I couldn't receive an epideral bc it was to late....needless to say thats most intense experience ive ever been through without the amazing support of my husband I couldn't have done it....its hard to stay focused when panic takes over...im am nervous for this next induction bc u just never know how it will affect u length of labor can depend on so many things....hope u safe induction and delivery and just remember to listen to ur body dont let anybody tell u " its ur first baby this will take awhile" speak up about what ur feeling and demand what u need...:) hope this helpful
