gullbladder /gull stones

Anyone have surgery to remove gullbladder during pregnancy. If so what trimester was recommended, to you, to do it in?

I heard 1st & 3rd are not great times?

I'm 35 y/o, soon to be 36, first pregnancy and have gullbladder full of stones. I am 10 weeks pregnant.

TIA.

I had mine removed one week after delivery. Good luck, its so painful and you have so long to go I would do it second trimester being as early as you are in the pregnancy, if it can wait though I woul do it right after delivering.

I had my gall bladder removed immediately after having my 18yo via C-section. This was only because my doctor was a moron who didn't realize what was wrong with me. I don't recommend having it done this way. I would ask your OB what s/he thinks about how your gall bladder surgeon should proceed. Pregnancy hormones are known to help produce gall stones so it will likely only get worse the longer you wait.
Good luck with your gall bladder issues & your pregnancy!
