Here in Aussie i get into the doctor's pretty much the day i call them! First appointment is confirming it with urine and bloodwork, then every 4 weeks for blood pressure and weight. The actual hospital appt is around 20w, where they do the same, plus take all your medical history. I see my doc until 36w when i go to the hospital again every 2 weeks.

My first appointment was at 6 weeks. It was the appointment to confirm pregnancy and initial blood work.  I've been seen every four weeks and now every two when I reached 30.  I'd be very worried if the doctor would see me. It's a critical time. You may want to get a second opinion.

My first was at 8 weeks :) and like you I was worried too.. The first thing I Asked is that I was still pregnant. It's my first and I just worry, the doctor did an exam and said I fealt very pregnant so that made me feel Better. Next appointment is typically at 12 weeks. I was told they would listen for a heartbeat! So am excited.. Good luck to you :)

My 1st appointment wasn't until 11 weeks. If you're high risk then it'll be earlier.
