induction experience

I am 38/4 and due on Dec 7th.  My Dr. Has decided to induce me on the 4th.  She said it could take two days!  Anyone else have an experience like this? What was your experience with induction. Freaking myself out!

I was overdue and got an induction. Went in sunday night and my son was born monday night. Contractions started at 10 am with a bang. Turns out i was 6 cm dilated in 20 min. Got epidural but was planning on getting one. My water was broken at 5.30 and my son was born and hour later. I loved my induction as i felt i wad in control. I knew when he was coming and did not sit and wonder at home if i was having contractions and timing them. I was told exactly what was going to happen at every stage yet still had choices lile the epidural and when it came time to push i got asked if i would wait for dr...which i did not. It would have gone much quicker if my water was broken quicker but i decided to wait and see as my sons head.would make it a bit difficult. I am having another induction with this pregnancy at 39weeks. People have a lot of negative stories about the epi...mine was fantastic! I was only stabbed once and was not allowed out of bed for 12 hrs. I had to lie down. Standard practise were im from. I was told that this was the cause of hwadaches and bachaches that everyone complains about

I was induced at 39 weeks due to PIH and was at 0cm when induced.  Pitocin was started at 8am, water was broken at 3 pm (3cm by then).  Had contractions all day but they only begun to hurt about 5pm.  Was fully dilated and really to push by about 10:30 that night.

I asked to be induced and I would not trade my experience for nothing. They induced my labor and my water broke in the hospital and two hours later I had my baby girl. But trust your body and relax all will go well for you.
