So I am 8 weeks pregnant with my first baby and was wondering around when do the doctors do the first ultrasound? I've been talking to a few people who have already had ultrasounds and I'm farther along then them. Just curious

I had mine at 8 weeks but I am high risk but usually they do one for dating.  I've had 3 so far and I'm almost 15 weeks so it depends on your dr.  I know if your high risk you will have more then a normal pregnancy.

In the uk we have our first ultrasound at 12 weeks.

The initial scan can be done up to 12 wks for dating...depends on the carevset up u have ur based

I guess it all depends if you are high risk or not. I'm high risk and got my first ultrasound at 7 weeks. I get an ultrasound every 2 weeks through out my pregnancy.

With my 2 pregnancies on my first visit they did a vaginal ultrasound, but I won't get my other one until I'm 19 weeks. Does that help?

Usually 8-10 weeks for dating. Some won't have one at all until 18-20 weeks. It all depends on your doctor.
