pregnant 36 afraid of gaining too much weight help

I'm 36 and 5 1/2wks pregnant I have a 16 &13 yr old. I started having pregnancy symtoms at 4 wks Nausea tenderbreast cramping frequent urine and night sweats with positive hpt.I feel hungry frequently but I remember gaining too much weight both previous times.I gained 60 lbs both times but I was smaller then (120lbs)than I am now(148lbs) before so I'm afraid to eat too much so soon! I get ultrasound on the 9 no tests yet but Dr told me about all the ds testing that I can have but I'm not going to have anything invasive done. Just have to think positive as it has been 13 yrs since I went through this.

If you're consciously aware of what you're eating you should be ok... If your hungry, EAT but try and make it fruits or raw veggies or something high in fiber to make you feel "less hungry". Apple slices (they come pre cut in a green bag) do it for me. So you've gotta find what works for you. Many women will eat out of comfort and justify it by using the pregnancy as an excuse but that'll help you pack on the pounds. Also, when you have no appetite, try ensure or something similar so you're keeping your blood sugar stable. This will help you avoid the "drive throughs" :) good luck!

Well all I can say is stay away from the junk food and that's easier said then done! I know, just ate 4 candy bars yesterday and justified it because it as only a buck for 4 lol . Halloween candy discount :(
