Im 23 I know I'm young but were u on any birth control before u started trying. When I was trying to get pregnant with my son I had been on the depo  shot and after I stopped it took me 6 months to regulate my period and another 18 months for it to b out of my system. I was so depressed with seeing that stupid negative sign I was always crying my Dr and husband said because I was constantly thinking and stressing about it was going to be too much stress which can making getting prego impossible.the month I decided to not think about it I was sure with all the cramping. I was going to start my period so I bought a box if 100 tampons cause I knew I wasn't going to her pregnant for a while if ever. My husband looked at me at the check out line and said watch we buy this huge box and your going to b pregnant 2 days later no af and I was still cramping so took the test and sure enough I was prego my son is 3 now and I wanted another I counted days and and took prenatal vitamins for6 month finally I just didn't think about desperately getting pregnant and the next month I was pregnant.so try not to stress it really helps.

It is true your fertility decreases as you age. Due to a male factor we ended up doing ivf.

If you are not tracking your cycle, you should start. If you have been tracking your cycle, confirming that you are ovulating, and you haven't had any success after 6 months, you both should go see a doctor and get checked out to make sure there are no other issues.

I received so much support from the wonderful women here over the 2 years that I had IVF treatment and that is why I wanted to answer this question. I want to share my experience and knowledge about IVF and fertility with everyone at MH.   I became pregnant with my DD on my 3rd IVF and improved my FSH by 2 points!  I am more than happy to share the information that I gathered to help improve my fertility, (I created a healthy combination of supplements), just send me a note anytime and I will get to you my list/research.

Good luck to everyone!  *****baby dust****

I'm from Australia, so not sure about the insurance side of things, but we paid $60 for a sperm analysis.

Yes, it helps to chart ovulation, but you should also get your boyfriend to get checked out as well. I'm 37 with 2 children from a previous marriage, and my new partner and i tried to conceive for a few months with no luck. Turns out he had very low sperm morphology, so chances were minimal. He started taking Menevit, and i took my prenatal vitamins and we were very lucky that i fell pregnant right on ovulation. But i do think it does take a little longer to conceive the older we are. Best of luck!
