I am told after my recent scan that I am 6 weeks pregnant, a fetal pole and yolk sac showed at time but couldn't confirm a heartbeat, I'm going through IVf and my scan a week ago showed that I was 6 weeks different machines different places, can it be different reading each time?

Yes thats right and today we went back to see a new doctor and she said it doesn't look good, from the size of the baby and the lack of definate heartbeat that we should prepare ourselves for the worst, just ***** atm everything seems so unfair, our much wanted and waited for baby hasn't even passed the 6 week mark, although miracles happen and we are to go back in a weeks time and hope we see a little miracle of life, but at this stage not looking to positive.

if you were 6weeks a week ago and you are still 6weeks i should be concerned about that.. as you should be 7weeks but then again you had it from different place.. it would be necessary you ask for another u/s in a week but from same place to see progression in pregnancy... correct me if  i m wrong isnt this what happened you had u/s a week ago from another place and you were 6wks and then a week later you got another u/s but this time from another place and yet you are measuring 6wks?
